Music

The Lord speaks to me a lot threw music. Underoath "To bright to see, too loud to hear" has some cool lyrics.
Good God, If your song leaves our lips, and your work leaves our hands. We will be wanderers and vagabonds. They will stare and say how empty we are. How the freedom we had turned us up as dead men. Let us be cold and make us weak, let us because we all have ears, let us because we all have eyes, Good God. How they knew that this would happen, they knew they knew that this would. Good God can you still get us home? How can we still get home? We're forgetting our forgiveness.
They make an emphasis on forgetting our forgiveness. Lets be honest, when things don't go our way we like to blame it on the people around us even when the blame is one to share.

Proverbs 3: 3-4

Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.
I guess earning a good rep. during school is important to a lot of people. Loyalty and kindness are two qualities people can never get enough of. But what does a good reputation mean anyways? Friends, grades, popularity? I guess loyalty and kindness can help get you there but I don't think that was what Proverbs is aiming for. I think "a good reputation" means a lot more than just popularity. There is nothing wrong with being popular, it's what you do with it that really matters.

So i was thinking...What is the best way to show a teenager the Lord's love and comfort? Well I think there are a few ways to show kids His love.
1) Smile and be encouraging
2) Include God in ur everyday lingo...for example, if someone said "Bye see you tomorrow." you could say " Yeah, God willing."

As for the comfort part of God, people usually aren't looking for comfort in something they can't see. Its usually easier to get through to people when they are having a hard time and need a friend. It's unfortunate that people don't want Jesus unless they are in pain. But if that's part of being human, why not help the Lord take advantage of it when the time presents itself? So when the time comes...use the above steps. They will most likely be ready. I feel like the more you talk about "God" the more of it goes over people's heads. Don't tell them about Jesus, show them.

YES or NO

Am i here or am I not,
Am i safe or was I shot?
Will I swim or will I drowned,
Will I be lost, will I be found?

Is he my God or just my dad,
Is this for life or just a fad?
Are they real or are they fake,
This is something I just can't shake.

All this world says beware,
But it's ok, he's always there.
Is it true, does he save?
Why yes it is, he conquered the grave!

What am I called to do?

I have so much passion for the Lord and all i want to do is bring praise to his name. Unfortunately not many of my friends feel the same way. TC has some problems and i feel like I'm supposed to bring a message to the hallways.
What would that message be?
He loves us?
He forgives us?
Does your life match your name tag?
I'm not sure yet, but I AM sure that the Lord needs to be my everything if i am going to make it through this next year.
But here is another question...
Can my friends step up to the plate and play for the Lord's team even though all judging eyes are on them?

Humble Pie

I really need to take a seat at the Lord's table and have myself a big slice of Humble Pie. Anyone else need to join?

Spiritual High

It's a great felling but it can also mess you up when it is gone.
They never last forever.
I'm here to encourage anyone and everyone willing to read this.
When the spiritual high leaves, school comes.
Don't think of school as a buzz kill, think of it as a challenge!
The LORD will never give you anything you cannot handle.
Even when you don't feel his presence you need to be in the Word and Praying for strength!
It will help the next time you run into temptations or opportunities (depending on how you look at it).
School takes a lot out of you.
The decision is up to you...
What do I fill the empty space with?
Do I try to fill it with worldly things that will never last,
or do I full it with the LORD and his LOVE?
It's your call
